Launching a strategy¶
No contract to write, no liquidity to bring, no keeper to run. Pick a kind, give it a name and a ticker, and your strategy opens on its own curve. The machine starts when it graduates.
Who can launch¶
| Kind | Who can launch | How many |
|---|---|---|
| NFT strategy | anyone | no limit |
| Token strategy | anyone | no limit |
| Reflexive strategy | anyone | no limit |
Launching an NFT strategy from the wallet the collection's contract names as its owner earns a verified badge on it. Any other wallet can launch the same strategy on the same terms, without the badge; the badge is decided at the launch block and cannot be added later.
A collection can carry as many strategies as people care to launch. Each is its own token, its own treasury and its own shelf; they share only the collection they buy from, and they do compete for it. Be sure before you launch: the target is the one thing about your strategy that can never change.
What you fill in¶
The kind. NFT, token or reflexive.
The contract. The collection or the token the strategy will buy. A reflexive strategy has none.
Token name and ticker. Written into the token at launch and never changed.
Cover image. Optional. It shows on the strategy's page in the app.
Bid growth. How much the bid rises each hour, between about 0.0036 ETH and 36 ETH. The form starts at 1 ETH. Pick a pace that reaches the floor price within hours, not weeks. A reflexive strategy has no bid, so it skips this.
What is set for you¶
The ceiling. The most the machine pays for 1 piece or 1 bag: 100 ETH, the highest a launch allows.
The markup. Every shelf opens at 1.2 times cost.
The bag. On a token strategy, 1/1000 of the target's supply.
The supply, the curve, the pool and the fees. 1,000,000,000 tokens, a bonding curve that opens at 1.68 ETH and graduates at 4.2 ETH, one Uniswap v4 pool after that, and the fees described in Launch and fees.
The launch fee. Paid once. The form shows it before you sign.
After launch¶
The token trades on its curve from the moment it launches. The royalty starts right away: 2% of every trade on the curve. The treasury does not: nothing is bought and nothing is airdropped while the strategy is on its curve.
When buyers have put 4.2 ETH into the curve, the strategy graduates and its pool opens. From then on, 8% of every trade feeds the treasury. On a desk, the bid starts climbing from zero and the first purchase happens as soon as a seller meets it. On a reflexive strategy, the first airdrop comes within the hour.
Most launches never graduate. A strategy that does not reach 4.2 ETH stays on its curve for good, tradable, and never sweeps. See The curve.
Launching gives the royalty, not the controls. A strategy holds other people's money, so its settings belong to Sweep and never to the launcher:
| Setting | Who changes it |
|---|---|
| Royalty recipient | nobody. It is fixed at launch, for the curve and the pool alike |
| Bid growth and ceiling | Sweep, within the launch limits. Raising either is capped at double, at most once every 7 days; lowering is free |
| Markup | Sweep |
| Burn pace | Sweep, with at most 1 day between passes |
| Burn and airdrop router | Sweep, but only to a router Sweep's launch contract already lists |
| Airdrop minimum | Sweep, up to 1 ETH |
Nobody has any setting over the curve. Its prices, its fees and its 4.2 ETH line are the same for every launch, and no one can reach the ETH it holds.
